Barbara Yvonne Sanders, affectionately known as "Mother and Gran," went home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2025, in North Texas at the age of 87. A long-time resident of The Colony, Texas, Barbara was born on September 11, 1937, in Macon, Georgia.

Barbara was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and a God-fearing woman whose life was a testimony to her faith and love for Jesus Christ. She accepted Jesus as her personal Savior in 1969 and never wavered in her devotion. Her love for the Lord shaped every part of her life, and she shared that love generously with her family and everyone around her.

She was raised in a very large and loving family, surrounded by many sisters and brothers who helped shape her strength, faith, and deep sense of family.

Barbara's greatest joy came from her own family. She was the proud and loving mother of three children: Rick Sanders (wife Kay Sanders), Steven  Sanders Sr. (wife Vickie Sanders), and Michele Sanders. Her legacy continues through her eight beloved grandchildren: Jason, Rory, Cheri, Russell, Jeremy, Timothy, Steven Jr., and Jamie—as well as her growing number of precious great-grandchildren. Each of them carries a part of her heart and her deep, unwavering faith.

Those who knew Barbara will remember her warmth, her strength, and her kindness. She was a steady source of wisdom, prayer, and encouragement.

Barbara Yvonne Sanders leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the generations she nurtured.

Service Information:
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, located in Lewisville, Texas.
Funeral services will follow at 10:00 AM, also at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held immediately after the funeral at Round Grove Cemetery, Lewisville, Texas.
