Barbara Elbert of Ponder, Tx. transitioned from this life to eternal rest peacefully in her sleep on December 31,2024.

She was born on November 29, 1935 to Woodrow McMillan and Myra (Bobbie) Kinman Maynard in Deadwood, Tx. in Panola,County. Barbara married Allan Elbert in Gainesville, Texas in January of 1952 they were together 67 years until his death in 2018. She was a loving wife,mother,g-mother and friend.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Allan, both parents, her 2 sisters Kat and Carol, one daughter Nita and one g-grandson Billy. She was survived by two daughters Sam,Gala, and one son Rick, two brothers Bob,and Buddy, 7 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Services to celebrate her life will be Wednesday January 8, 2025 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Tx. Viewing will be at 1p.m. and the funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Graveside will follow at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas,Texas
