Ava Lee (Parks) Harris passed away peacefully with her family at her side November 21, 2024, at Gentle Breeze Care Home in Lewisville, TX at age 81.  Ava was born on October 9, 1943, in Louisville, KY to Charley and Ada Parks. She graduated from Georgetown College, Georgetown, KY as a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, in 1965 with a teaching degree. She shared her love and dedication in teaching children for over 35 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents who now welcome her home. Ava's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Mike, her brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Barbara Parks, and her son Michael and daughter-in-law Sharon, son Charley and daughter-in-law Melinda. Ava was a proud grandmother to Brittney, William, Anna and Jack, as well as granddaughter-in-law, Elizabeth. Her family filled her home with love and laughter. May Ava rest in peace, forever surrounded by her Lord's Love.

Some of her favorite past time things were spending time with family and friends playing games, traveling abroad, along with numerous road trips.

All who knew and loved her are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at 2pm, Saturday, December 14, 2024, at First Baptist Church Lewisville, 1251 Valley Ridge Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church Lewisville, Oasis Ministry.
