April Frances Linex, age 54 of Hickory Creek, Texas entered into the presence of the Lord on March 3rd, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.  She was born May 3rd, 1970 in Sacramento, California. In 1974, April moved with her family to Fort Smith, Arkansas and then soon after to Midwest City, Oklahoma.  April attended elementary through High School in Jones, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father James Houston and her sister, Jacqueline Houston.

She is survived by her spouse of 25 years, Dale Linex of Hickory Creek, Texas, daughter Brittany Craver of White Oak, Texas, grandchildren Jason Babin of Hickory Creek, Texas and Jayden Craver of White Oak, Texas, mom Blanche Houston of Midwest City, Oklahoma, sisters Raynette Blaine of Del City, Oklahoma, Becky Lake of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Carol Carillo of Houston Texas, Jamie Houston of Midwest City, Oklahoma and brothers John Houston of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Nathan Houston of Midwest City, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

April was a licensed cosmetologist and enjoyed a career of making people look their best.  When the prices soared up, April kept her prices down so that people could afford it, even when it sometimes came at a personal loss.  April enjoyed going on vacation to Mexico every year: her husband remembers her excitement weeks leading up to the trips as she coordinated her wardrobe for dinner events and while reserving a suitcase just for shoes.  She also enjoyed trips to Port Aransas and laying on the beach while her husband fished the Jetty.  April had a humorous personality and a laughter that was loved by all that knew her.  She was able to converse with anyone as she was able to quickly relate and connect to people.  She was exceptionally beautiful and had a bubbly personality that most people did not realize she was likely the smartest person in the room.  She enjoyed cooking and had an incredible ability to be able to just sample a dish and recreate it to the exact ingredients at home.  She loved her mom and spoke to her by phone on the weekends and made many trips to Oklahoma to visit her every chance she could through the years.  April was an incredible wife, mom, Mimi, daughter, sister and friend and she will be missed dearly.

The funeral will be held Monday, March 10th, 2025.  Visitation will start at 1:00pm and Service will begin at 2:00pm at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds Ln, Lewisville, TX 75067.  All friends and family are welcome.
