Angelia "Angie" Sue Borum passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on January 26, 2024 in Denton, Texas after an extended illness. Angie was born on April 25, 1957 in Tulia, Texas to Grady and Nina Borum. She was raised on a farm outside of Kress, Texas with 6 brothers and sisters. During high school, Angie played on the basketball and volleyball teams and was active in the Future Homemakers of America. With a beautifully harmonic voice made for lullabies, she sang in a quartet who performed across Texas, Kansas, and North Dakota. She graduated from Kress High School in 1975.

She married Bill Ervin in Kress in 1976, and together they had three children: Jacob, Ashaun, and Laura. Angie moved to the North Texas area in 1987 when Bill's job relocated to Dallas. The family settled in Lewisville where the kids grew up.

Initially a stay-at-home mom, Angie later turned her love for children into a profession, working first at a daycare and eventually starting her own childcare business, where she was affectionately known as "Miss Angie". Later, Angie worked at Lewisville Medical Center where she processed insurance and helped with the intake and transporting of patients in the rehabilitation wing.

Always active in her faith, Angie sang in the choir and served in childcare at Northview Baptist Church in Lewisville. She continued her spiritual journey when she moved to Sanger, Texas. Angie will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to Christ, her talented singing voice and general love of music, her deeply maternal nature toward all children and animals, and her brilliant creativity and wit. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Angie is preceded in death by her parents Grady and Nina Borum, brothers Gary, Terry, Danny and sister, Debbie. She is survived by two sisters, Patsy and Tina, her former husband Bill Ervin and their three children Jacob, Ashaun, and Laura, 12 nieces and nephews, 21 great nieces and nephews, and 5 great-great nieces and nephews.

Family will welcome friends at the visitation service, which will take place on Friday, February 9, 2024, 6:00p.m. at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home 740 Edmonds Ln, Lewisville, TX 75067.

A funeral service will be held to honor and celebrate her life on Saturday, February 10, 2024, 3:00 p.m. at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home as well, with a committal service taking place on Monday February 12, 2024, 1:00p.m. at Kress Cemetery in Kress, TX

Arrangements are by Mulkey Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville with Brother Kenneth Wells of Northview Baptist Church officiating. The funeral service will be streamed online.

The family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the staff of Kenny's Heart Senior Living, Lisa Price (RN) of Harris Hospice, and our good friend and in-home caregiver, Shaleene Pinney, who all took wonderful care of Angie during her extended illness.
