With faith in God and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life of Angela "Angie" Jobe Reed, who passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 4, 2026 at the age of 61.

Angie was born on November 26, 1964 in Chula Vista, California to loving parents Roy and Linda Jobe, and later became the oldest sister to her younger brother, Kevin, and her younger sister, Christy. Her father was in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force and spent many years overseas while her mother raised the children in various locations. Her parents instilled in her a deep faith in Christ and a tender heart for people and animals. While she made friends at school and in church wherever she lived, she has always considered her deepest roots to be in the Texas cities of Kilgore and Midland. The friendships she made in these two places were lifelong and always a treasured gift to her.

As a young adult, she began a career in banking which lasted approximately 22 years and spanned across various cities and banks in Texas. During this time, she got married and gave birth to and began raising her two daughters. When that marriage ended, she became the strongest and most dedicated single mother. She never let her girls go without, always making life fun and giving of herself sacrificially. In 2002, she met the love of her life, Tom Reed, and his two sons. They were married in 2003, and began raising a beautiful blended family. They always joked that God did not intend for a marriage to begin with 4 teens/pre-teens, but through prayer and leaning on each other, they made it through those trying years until ultimately they were able to witness their adult children flourish. They celebrated the marriages of all 4 children, and experienced the blessing of becoming grandparents.

Angie came truly alive the day she earned the title of "Gigi". She adored her 5 grandchildren, doting on them constantly. Her home is filled with pictures of them, and her walls and shelves are decorated with artwork they made for her. She was always ready to play, and her lap was always open for snuggles while reading a good book or watching a movie. Her love and laughter are woven into their lives and will remain a part of who they are forever.

Later in life, Angie fulfilled a lifelong dream by beginning her acting career. Growing up, she performed with her choir, and she continued to sing and perform in church throughout her adulthood. She was a natural performer who always dreamed of taking the stage. Beginning in 2024, she quietly began contributing background work to various commercials and tv shows. She gained many friends along her way, and even participated in a live production at Capernaum Studios in Poolville, Texas, in Easter of 2025. Through Capernaum, she discovered her true passion for participating in wholesome, faith-based projects. She called this her "Kingdom work". Her most recent project was on the set of a movie called Anderson County. While working with the cast and crew she quickly proved her worth and talent, ultimately earning the title of Associate Producer. She dedicated much of her time in her final months to promoting this movie and would love all her friends and family to support it upon its release.

Angie will be remembered for so many things: her beautiful singing voice, her sense of humor and mischievous pranks, and her kindness and generosity to everyone. Angie was truly a friend to all -– it did not matter if she had known you for 10 years or 10 minutes. Her love and loyalty will be deeply missed, and her impact now lives on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Angie's legacy carries on through her husband, Tom, her daughters, Shelby (Cheyenne) Bauman, and Whitney (Reese) Cross, and her sons Austin (Bethany) Reed, and Andrew (Tyler) Thorne. She will also live on through the lights of her life, her grandchildren: Adalyn and Brooke Cross, Graham and Cole Bauman, and Harvey Reed.

Angie was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Roy and Linda Jobe, her father-in-law, Don Reed, and many other family members and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 11am at Garden Ridge Church of Christ, 102 N. Garden Ridge Blvd, Lewisville, TX 75067.

In lieu of flowers, Angie requested that donations be made to Light and Glory Ministries. This ministry exists to serve the people of Israel by providing opportunities for individuals to volunteer in camps, encourage soldiers and their families, and pray with and encourage believers and leaders in the community.
