Alfonso Gomez, 66 years old, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026. Born in Los Angeles, California, he was known for his kind heart, generous spirit and unwavering dedication to his family and community. One of his cherished dedications was volunteering for Meals on Wheels.

He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Maria Preciado and Taz the cat.

He is survived by his loving wife Tamara Gomez, and other family members who were touched by his warmth and kindness. Alfonso was a true friend and a father figure to his beloved niece. He was a very reserved child who grew up around women most of his childhood which gave him the learning aspect of always respecting women, loving the women in his family, prioritizing them by being humble, caring, understanding and a complete gentleman.

He had a passion for the unknown, always searching for the truth through his interest in science. His life kept his mind analyzing everything in his path looking for answers. Technology was one of many interests.  He loved to read, which was one of his best hobbies. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He was source of strength and inspiration, always putting others before him. A visitation/viewing to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 4pm to 6pm at the Mulkey Mason Funeral Home. The family invites all who knew him to join in remembering and honoring his remarkable life.  Alfonso will be laid to rest in the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery with US Navy honors on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026, at 10:30AM.

He served our country with a true soul, spirit and heart. Alfonso dedicated his life to serve our country because he believed in his heart that was his true passion and dream come true.
