Aida Ortiz, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Medical City of Lewisville, surrounded by her family and the comforting songs of love and faith that guided her through life, death, and into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Aida was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, on May 7, 1941. She married Daniel Ortiz, Sr. in 1963, and together they raised four children: Daniel Jr., Adamaris, Miguel, and Sulmari.

A woman of boundless kindness and devotion, Aida was known for her Christlike love and her unwavering service to her family, friends, and all those in need. Whether in the kitchen, where she prepared countless meals that nourished both the body and the soul, or in the quiet moments of prayer, Aida's life was marked by a deep commitment to others. She poured love into everything she did, and her legacy of care and warmth lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Aida was a devoted Christian, waking early each day to read God's Word and to pray for the needs of her family, friends, and the world. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her actions and shaping her relationships. She touched many lives through her prayers and her example of humility, grace, and perseverance.

Aida is survived by her husband, Daniel Ortiz, Sr.; her children, Daniel Jr., Adamaris, Miguel, and Sulmari; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her parents Cirilo and Pancha Miranda and her siblings Jorge Miranda and Margarita Ayala (Miranda).

The family will receive visitors at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, TX on Monday, December 2nd from 6pm-8pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd at 1pm at the Iglesia Bautista Fundamental in Lewisville, TX.

Aida Ortiz, querida esposa, madre, abuela, bisabuela y amiga, falleció en paz a la edad de 83 años el miércoles 27 de noviembre de 2024, en el Hospital Medical City de Lewisville, rodeada por su familia y las reconfortantes canciones de amor y fe que la guiaron a través de la vida, la muerte y fue recibida en los brazos de su Salvador y Señor Jesucristo.

Aida nació en Coamo, Puerto Rico, el 7 de mayo de 1941. Se casó con Daniel Ortiz, Sr. en 1963, y juntos criaron cuatro hijos: Daniel Jr., Adamaris, Miguel y Sulmari.

Una mujer de infinita bondad y dedicación, Aida fue conocida por su amor cristiano y su servicio constante a su familia, amigos y a todos los que necesitaban su ayuda. Muchas veces la encontraban en la cocina, preparando comidas deliciosas que no solo alimentaban el cuerpo, sino también el alma, con el cariño y amor que ponía en cada plato. Su vida estuvo marcada por un profundo compromiso con los demás. Ella vertía amor en todo lo que hacía, y su legado de cuidado y calidez seguirá vivo en los corazones de todos los que la conocieron.

Aida fue una cristiana devota, despertándose temprano cada día para leer la Palabra de Dios y orar por las necesidades de su familia, amigos y el mundo. Su fe fue el fundamento de su vida, guiando sus acciones y moldeando sus relaciones. Tocó muchas vidas a través de sus oraciones y su ejemplo de humildad, gracia y perseverancia.

Aida deja atrás a su esposo, Daniel Ortiz, Sr.; sus hijos, Daniel Jr., Adamaris, Miguel y Sulmari; sus nietos, bisnietos; y muchos otros familiares y amigos que siempre atesorarán su memoria. Ha sido precedida en su partida por sus padres Cirilo y Pancha Miranda, y sus hermanos, Jorge Miranda, y Margarita Ayala (Miranda).

La familia recibirá visitas en la Funeraria Mulkey- Mason en Lewisville, el Lunes, 2 de Diciembre de 6 – 8 pm.  El servicio funerario se llevará a cabo el Martes, 3 de Diciembre a la 1pm en la Iglesia Bautista Fundamental de Lewisville, TX.
