Addison Ann Wehrle, 14, surrounded by the love of her family, went to her heavenly home on April 1, 2026, after a courageous seven-month battle with Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG), a rare and incurable brain and spinal cancer.

Addi was born on October 20, 2011, in Lewisville, Texas, to Matt and Trish Wehrle. She attended Bridlewood Elementary and Clayton Downing Middle School, where she loved learning and excelled in math, art, and creative writing. At Downing, she was a member of the 8th Grade National Honor Society and the Varsity Chamber and Acapella Choirs. Addi set high standards for herself, maintaining 'A' Honor Roll and achieving honors and awards in Choir and Math, including Top Academic Scholar. She dreamed of attending an Ivy League college and aspired to become an engineer or architect.

Addi was a bright light—responsible, kind, curious, adventurous, smart, talented, humble, and full of life. She had a rare gift for making others feel seen and valued, showing kindness to everyone she met. Her warmth and genuine spirit drew people to her, and she maintained a close-knit group of dear friends from kindergarten through middle school—friendships that meant the world to her.

She embraced every opportunity to try something new and was involved in many activities beyond the classroom. She was a Cadette Girl Scout and a proud member of Troop 4945 for nine years. Addi played softball with FMYSA starting at age five and continued through her travel ball years. She spent many summers at Sky Ranch, first as a camper and later as part of the leadership team, where she loved mentoring younger campers and building lasting friendships.

From a young age, Addi found joy in competitive dance. As a Senior member of the JM Dance Company travel team, she excelled in jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and contemporary dance. On stage, she combined grace, strength, and confidence, captivating audiences with her presence. She particularly loved helping younger dancers—substitute teaching classes, refining group dances, and cheering them on—always her studio's biggest fan.

Family was at the heart of everything Addi loved. She was her mom's number one travel companion and delighted in adventures, sometimes hopping on spontaneous flights to explore new places. Some of her favorites included the beaches of Florida, Disney World, hiking in Utah, catching a Broadway show in New York City, and a two-week trip to Italy this past summer, where she explored several cities with friends and chaperones, savoring every pasta dish and gelato along the way. She treasured time with her dad at the deer lease, enjoying camping and quiet moments together. Addi loved trips to the lake with her Gramama and Mr. Jack, where she spent hours tubing, boating, jumping off the dock, and paddle boarding. She also enjoyed family trips to Missouri for "Camp Grandma and Grandpa," where she and her sisters spent their days crafting, exploring, and sharing laughter. Some of her sweetest moments were everyday joys—jammie parties and popcorn-filled movie nights with her Gramama, binge-watching Gilmore Girls with her mom, cheering on the Dallas Stars and Kansas City Chiefs with her dad, choreographing and making dance TikToks with her middle sister, helping her youngest sister with her volleyball serve, and spending hot summer days swimming with cousins and dominating at intense games of UNO. Through it all, Addi's joy, positivity, and love for those around her shone brightly in every experience.

She is survived by her parents, Matt and Trish Wehrle; her sisters, Aubrey and Avery; her grandparents, Patricia Masters (Jack Graves) of Denton, TX, and Mike and Mary Wehrle of Jefferson City, MO; her great-grandmother, Rita Dampf of Jefferson City, MO; her Aunts and Uncles, Garrett Austin of Lewisville, TX; Beth and Scott Loethen of Jefferson City, MO; and Sam and Brittany Wehrle of Frisco, TX; her cousins, Alex, Coen, and Parker Loethen, and Blair and Miles Wehrle; and a close-knit circle of dear friends who loved her deeply.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 12, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, TX. The Service will be held on Monday, April 13, at 11:00 a.m. at Oaks Chapel Bible Church, 8101 Justin Road, Double Oak, TX. A Celebration of Life and lunch will follow from 12:00–3:00 p.m. at Circle R Ranch, 5901 Cross Timbers Rd, Flower Mound, TX.

Guests are encouraged to wear bright or spring colors in honor of Addi's vibrant spirit and joyful love of life.
