Billie Joan Hall

Born: September 27, 1930
Died: March 26, 2012

Billie Joan Hall, age 81, of Lewisville, Texas passed away March 26, 2012. She was born September 27, 1930 in Spencer, Indiana as Billie Joan Brueggemann. Before now, her true age was always one of the best-kept secrets in Dallas, known only to a privileged few who were sworn to secrecy for life. Billie attended Indiana University and studied music, which became a lifelong passion. Billie initially moved to the Dallas area in 1970 and again in 1978, when she began a long and rewarding career at Bozell/Temerlin McClain Advertising. She had stated on many occasions, “my time at Temerlin McClain was truly the best, most exciting, most rewarding time of my life”. Billie was also active for many years at First United Methodist Church Dallas, where she sang in the choir. Billie is survived by her two sons, Kent and Kevin Hall, her daughter-in-law, Sharon Hall, her three grandsons, Jonathan, Erik and William Hall, her four great grandchildren, Carson, Jayden, Colter and Iris Hall, her three half brothers, David, Bobby and Jim Smith, her cousin, Linda Thomas and her niece, Nuris Hester. However, the true love of her life was Arno Zwillenberg, an angel of a man that loved and cared for her like no other for the last 27 years of her life. Billie never met a stranger. She loved everyone unconditionally and everyone loved her. She will be missed beyond comprehension. Her memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church Dallas, 1928 Ross Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75201, on Saturday, March 31 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the UT Southwestern Medical Center, PO Box 910888, Dallas, Texas 75391, or online at to support Parkinson’s Disease research under the direction of Padrig O’Suilleabhain.
