Squadron Leader (Retired) Karl Leo Wick of Sleaford, England and recently residing with his son and daughter-in-law in Texas, passed away Wed May 2, 2012 at age 81. Karl was born in Seghill, Northumberland, England on March 14, 1931 to Gosta Allen and Hannah Wick. Karl devoted his entire career to serving his country in the Royal Air Force for a total of 42 years travelling around the globe before retiring at age 58. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, an accomplished general and mechanical Aerospace engineer and a painter. Surviving immediate family members include his daughter Julia Murgett, son Peter Wick and his wife Heather and his daughter Karen Sharpe and her husband David; his sister, Olga MacNally and her husband Sidney; grandchildren, Yvonne, Mia, Liam, Matthew, James, Andrew, Stuart and his wife Ellie, Naomi-Jayne; great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Cameron and Evie. Karl was a charming English gentleman and he shall be fondly remembered and missed by the loved ones he leaves behind. He will be cremated in Texas and then his ashes will be laid to rest with his wife and mother of his children, Joan, in Silk Willoughby, England.
